I am experienced Blue Badge Guide providing all types of walking, driving and coach tours around Jersey. My walks range from general, historical and political topics to the highly unusual and bizarre events that have taken place in the Island.
Drawing on my 30 years’ experience as a teacher and my vast knowledge of Island life, I am able to deliver fascinating walks to a variety of people, appealing to all ages and types, in a humorous and relaxed manner.
This year I will be guiding two regular walks which are the most established in the Island and have proved exceptionally popular. “Living with the Enemy” every Tuesday morning from mid April to early October looks at daily life during the German Occupation and takes in some of the unique sites including the site of the recent Time Team dig and ending at the Jersey War Tunnels. “Murder, Muck and Mayhem” from mid May to mid September is a tour around the town, visiting locations where some gruesome events and bizarre happenings have taken place throughout Jersey’s colourful history.
In keeping with my informal style, you don’t have to pre-book, just turn up on the day! Both walks last about two hours and cost just £10 per adult, and obviously I’m more than happy to answer any questions you might have during the guided tour.
